IFA has
come and gone, and many new phones have been unveiled there. Among many others,
Sony has unveiled 3 new smartphones and each of them is designed for a certain
price range and for a certain category : Sony Xperia V, Sony Xperia J and Sony
Xperia T. Sony Xperia T is the high-end device and the company flagship for the season. It offers a great deal of
features, applications and it has great specifications.
As for CPU,
Sony Xperia T has 1.5 GHz dual core processor (the same processor that HTC One
X and the Galaxy S3 have), which grants extremely fast performance.
It has a
great, Sony quality, 13 MP camera which has an Exmor R sensor with full 1080p
HD video recording. It also comes with a 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
Xperia T
has 4.6’’ display, along with HD 1280x720 resolution and 16,777,216 colour TFT. It has 16
GB of intern memory and, of course, a slot for microSD card.
It comes
with MHL connectivity and, thanks to 1850 mAh battery, the high performance
does not drain the battery quite easily.
Specifications
look great, don’t they? Camera sounds most awesome, but processor could be
better. Perhaps some time soon, it will be.
As for
software, Xperia T comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, even though that
some devices, like Samsung Galaxy Note 2, will have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
But, Sony promises OS upgrade to Jelly Bean quite soon after the phone is
released. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait months on it.
As for
apps, Xperia T has quite a few great apps : “Albums”, “Movies”, “Walkman”… and
some standard ones like “Google Play™”, “Google Maps” and others … It also has PlayNow™
service, TrackID™ music recognition and xLoud™ Experience.
Sony Xperia
T comes in three colors – black, silver and white. Sony has announced a Sony
Xperia TX which will have the same specifications, but a dual core S3
processor. This cellphone will, however, be available only in pink color and
will not be available in all markets.
